Resumo

This research has as object of analysis the Motor Activities Program for Disabled (PROAMDE), managed by the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy (FEFF) of the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), as a formative space for undergraduate students in Physical Education. It is a program institutionalized by UFAM that is based on the premise that people with various disabilities are inserted in a social and cultural context, which have motor, affective and cognitive dimensions, and that they learn and develop in the insertion/interaction with others. Assuming that the individuals are subjects in development inserted in a historical process and that evolves from the historic-social livings, with emancipatory possibilities and freedom in a relationship with other- In this way, we believe that the teacher must see his students beyond what they show themselves to be in their daily lives, and that it is necessary to reflect more on the fundamental issues of interpersonal and formative relationships between teacher and student. the research aims to answer the following question: In what way does PROAMDE contribute to the formation of undergraduate students of FEFF/UFAM, to work with students with disabilities and students without disabilities in public basic education schools in Manaus? To answer this question, we listed as a general goal, to verify how the undergraduates in PE who participated in PROAMDE, were conducting their classes in public basic education schools in Manaus, having as a perspective the inclusion of students with disabilities along with students without disabilities. And as specific objectives we sought to identify how the experiences acquired in PROAMDE contributed to the development of their classes with students with disabilities in basic education; in addition, we sought to know what pedagogical approach adopted by these teachers to work with these students, and finally to know the PE teaching model used in public schools in Manaus to serve students with disabilities. The methodological process to achieve the research objectives was through a bibliographic research in articles, dissertations, and theses published in annals of the main events in the areas of Education and PE until the year 2021, in the database of SCIELO and CAPES platforms. We performed a document analysis of the whole process of creation, structuring and consolidation of PROAMDE as a project until it reached the condition of an institutionalized program active in teaching, research and extension at UFAM. As for the data collection procedures, we conducted semi-structured interviews with the former students of the PE course of FEFF/UFAM who worked in PROAMDE as scholarship recipients and/or volunteers during the period of teacher training, in addition to the pedagogical team represented by the former coordinator of the Program, and the current coordinator. After the interviews, we could see that PROAMDE in fact represents a formative space that can contribute to the formation of students from various courses, both undergraduate and graduate. These students from UFAM, as well as from other HEIs that seek partnerships with the Program. The data collected showed that the experience of FEFF/UFAM graduates in PROAMDE helps them a lot in their teaching activities in Basic Education, allowing them to work towards the inclusion of students with disabilities in their PE classes. We hope that our research has contributed significantly to the PE teachers, mainly in the amazonic region, which feel great struggles in developing a work directed to the regional aspects, having in sight the greater urban centers of the other regions of our country, that states practically all the didactic and methodologic ways of teaching, ignoring almost completely the regional caracteristics of each state, this way, our research showed up how important t is for our teachers to know the predominant aspects of our region to contribute to the regional development of our people. Besides showing that PROAMDE, as an institutionalized program of an amazonic federal public university, acts to promote greater rapprochement in the university-school of basic education relationship, especially in the process of inclusion of students with disabilities in PE classes in regular classes, under the perspective of inclusive, showing to be a referral program in such a regional to national level in relation to the practical teaching of people with disabilities.
