Resumo

Scientific Education aims to provide students with training that enables them to make decisions for the exercise of citizenship with social responsibility. In this sense, to promote the Scientific Enculturation through the Scientific Initiation in Basic Education is of fundamental importance in the development of cognitive capacities, as well as to awaken the interest for science in the students. The Science in the School Program (PCE) has as proposal the incentive to the Scientific Initiation, in Public Schools of the Amazon. In light of this, the contributions of the PCE to the development of skills related to Scientific Education in High School Students of the State Public School Network of Amazonas, in the city of Manaus, were verified. Therefore, the present research proposal is based on the qualitative research of a socio-historical nature and was developed through the documentary analysis of Projects executed in the schools contemplated by the PCE and with semi-structured interviews with teachers and students participating in the project. The data obtained were organized using the Discursive Textual Analysis methodology. With regard to students, it is concluded that participation in the program could contribute to the intellectual maturation of the students, developing in them a position of responsibility regarding the search for new knowledge. From the results found, we consider that the present research can contribute with data that reveal the possible impacts generated by the practice of CI during the development of projects participating in the PCE and how it affects not only the students but also the teachers and the school as a everything.
