Resumo

Living in a society that debates gender more and more, the transgender women suffer on a daily basis with transphobia and various other forms of exclusion and oppression. Within this context, the homelessnes ends up becoming a reality for many. This way, the objective of this work is to understand the daily life of transgender women who find themselves in homelessness from their stories. As specific objectives we aim: to identify the discursive practices of transgender women who live and work on the streets; to know the process of construction of the transgender women through informal conversations and to describe the difficulties and demands of the transgender women who live and work on the streets. The present work begins with a discussion on gender, gender identity and queer theory, questioning the power structures and the rigid binarity in our society. Then, it shows aspects of the transgender women identities, in which is done a brief history of the social movement; yet, it is presented aspects related to the body and nomenclatures, such as the insurgency of the term cisgender. Therefore it is shown the many faces of exclusion directed at the transgender women as the disqualification and sterereotypes. There is, also, a discussion about the concept of transphobia and the reality experienced by transgender women, as the school experiences, prostitution, until homelessness. Under the light of the Constructionist Theory, it is used the concept of discursive practices as a production of meaning in daily life social interactions. Then, it is explained about the presence of the researcher and the instruments used in the research, such as the informal conversations and the field diary. For the analysis of the results it has been divided into thematic categories to the extent that the contents were found in the field diary. The analysis of the results was done by its division into seven categories: identity, relationships, family, school; health and nutrition; occupation and housing and violence. The dissertation also includes a chapter on the perception of the cisgender researcher in the daily life. As final considerations issues are raised related to a cisgender system that excludes gender and not hegemonic sexualities. After the completion of the research, it is expected to publicize the dialogues and informal conversations conducted in the context of homelessness, to disclose the reality of transgender women and calling attention to their daily life and make their demands, needs and difficulties visible.
