Construção naval do Amazonas na perspectiva da TRU 2006

Abstract

The navigation has played an important role in the development of communications between people in the past, this would not be possible without the discovery of new lands, access to new consumer markets and inputs and also would not be possible dissemination of knowledge between continents. Given the importance of shipbuilding industry, we will analyze the role of shipbuilding in the Amazonian economy, considering the public policy that focuses on increasing productivity, enhancing the positive effects of their investments. To better assess the economic importance of the shipbuilding industry, we tried to use economic aggregates that allow a much greater understanding of local realities and that public policies are targeted to have a larger database. Was developed for both the Table of Resources and Uses (TRU) of the Amazon for the year 2006, through this tool you can analyze the flow of shipbuilding industry and identify the linkages generated by investments made by the sector. The TRU Amazon used in this dissertation follows the pattern of publication of IBGE with 55 activities and 110 products, specifically for the purpose of specific analysis of the shipbuilding industry of Amazonas was inserted one more activity, "Construction and repair of boats," which represents the opening activity "Other Transport Equipment," and more a product "vessel" which represents the opening of the product "Other Transport Equipment." In the Amazon the shipbuilding industry has strategic importance in promoting economic development of lagging regions, given that the final product of the production process of the sector is a capital asset used in the distribution of wealth generated in the state. Therefore, the shipbuilding industry has potential for development through investment in physical structure, state-sponsored public support and political activity, can be considered as a catalyst for opportunities
