This study was conducted with data from forest inventory to 100% and production data
obtained from logging operations cutting, dragging and carrying a unit of annual production
of 1,556.25 hectares divided into 249 units of work 250 m x 250 m subject to sustainable
forest management. The area is owned by Madeireira Vale Verde Company, located in the
municipality of Caracaraí, State of Roraima. The study aimed to evaluate the production of
roundwood forest using the data available. In the evaluation we used the inventory data to
100% for calculating the structural parameters of abundance, frequency, basal area and
volume to demonstrate the effects of intervention in forest structure in the moments before
and after logging. The production was quantified in terms of volume and number of logs
dragged, cut and transported. In the analysis we considered only the 35 species of commercial
value listed by the company, of which we selected the five species with the highest values of
abundance, frequency and volume. Were scaled 96 trees with DBH ≥ 50 cm diameter classes
grouped into 6 with an amplitude of 10 cm, 16 trees per class divided into 22 units of work.
The results showed that globally using the parameters described in the present study was not
possible to identify the effects of exploitation of the forest and that only assessments at the
species level and area concretely describe these effects. Regarding the production results
showed that approximately 80% of trees produced up to two logs which reduces operations
tracing activities in increasing the production of cut, drag and transport.
