Resumo
The present research entitled “The new Scientific Spirit from the perspective of Project-Based Learning in the training of Science teachers” aimed to analyze the possibilities of development of the Scientific spirit from Project-Based Learning-PBL, by a class of graduates of Natural Sciences, from the Federal University of Amazonas, having as central theoretical foundations Gaston Bachelard and William Bender. In order for the objective to be achieved, a qualitative approach was taken, with participant observation techniques with 16 students from the Natural Sciences degree course taking the third period. Interviews, audiovisual recordings of the defense moments in the field and analysis of the study sheets (written projects of the students) were carried out. The collected data were systematized, from the developed categories, and analyzed, having as theoretical support the Textual Discourse Analysis (DTA) of Moraes and Galiazzi. Approximately 93% of students considered the elaboration phase of the project's problem issue to be the most complicated and around 87% highlighted Project-Based Learning-PBL, important within the context of exercise for for scientific research project. The role of the Bachelardian error in the development of the scientific spirit was also evidenced in the students' statements regarding the traditional view of error that exposes the negative side of failure that needs to be avoided. Finally, by way of conclusion, the possibilities for developing the scientific spirit from Project Based Learning are positive, as the results presented were satisfactory. Therefore, stimulating students to develop problem questions during graduation, in the form of exercise, is a great possibility, together with the fact of breaking the negative view that error has regarding the development of knowledge. The research results show that Project-Based Learning-PBL is relevant for the development of students' scientific spirit, as the methodology was not shown to be closed and focused only on procedures or data collection
