Resumo
The Venezuelan migratory phenomenon has intensified in recent years as a result of the crisis that has been affecting and weakening the country on a daily basis, pushing people to leave their territory and look elsewhere for more favorable living conditions for their survival. This research aims to analyze the effects that precarious work causes on the health of the Venezuelan migrant population. The present work is based on the methodological approach of mixed focus, based on the bibliographic review of authors who discuss the categories of migration, work and health, as well as on field research, through the collection and treatment of data, in order to identify how these migrants have carried out their work activities, under what circumstances and how these conditions may have an impact on the health of those who, due to lack of choice, submit to precarious working conditions. The crisis in the Venezuelan economic system linked to the globalization of capital has contributed to the Venezuelan population seeking refuge and work in the city of Manaus. However, the working conditions to which they are subjected have reflected losses in the life and health of Venezuelan migrants. The study is exploratory and descriptive with the use of the binary logistic analysis technique that allowed the analysis of the relationship between the categories work and health. Data collection took place through an online questionnaire made available to the participants of this study, in which it was possible to identify, according to the established indicators, that Venezuelan migrants are inserted in precarious jobs and that the conditions to which they are submitted daily in the development of your activities affect your health. In view of this, the results of this research have the potential to generate discussion and encourage actions to be developed based on the results presented, in order to guarantee that migrant workers can carry out their activities safely and without compromising their physical and mental health.
