Ferramenta computacional para o cálculo do preço do frete de carga geral do Transporte Hidroviário

Abstract

The present work aimed at a computational tool development that would help the water transportation companies, in various cargoes pricing the freight process, of this transport king, allowing the company to decide on the price to be charged by the customer for the transportation of in general, based on their own costs for each voyage of a particular vessel and not the price charged by the competition, as it was currently done, because the tool is based on the Point of Equilibrium, which is a component of the CVL analysis, a cost area tool capable of conducting financial planning and providing guarantees for short-term decision-making. The break-even point is important in determining the price to be charged because it shows the minimum billing you need to pay off all of your costs. The system was developed in the PHP scripting language and the data stored in the MySQL database. The research was classified as applied and exploratory, with a qualitative approach and use of bibliographical and documentary survey techniques. We used data from a general cargo river transportation company, operating on the Manaus - Porto Velho - Manaus route. The results obtained during the validation of the developed computational tool showed that this one, once used, will be of great use for the decision making as to the price of freight to be charged by the clients, since it returned all the expected information, allowing the visualization of the costs related to each trip, as well as the billing that the company will obtain with the cargo intended for transportation, showing, if the company has already covered the costs of the trip and how much will profit from the cargoes that were already contracted for transportation, leading to a lower price, depending on the extent of expected profit.
