Resumo
Agroecology is a science that provides the basic ecological principles for the study and treatment of ecosystems that are both productive and preserve natural resources, and that are culturally sensitive, socially fair and economically viable, thus providing a sustainable agroecosystem. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the agroecological transition process of the conventional production system for the cultivation of guarana (Paullinia cupana Kunth), in the community of São Miguel do Marajázinho located in the municipality of Urucará (AM). To achieve the aforementioned objective, data were collected through forms and open interviews, agricultural calendar and F.O.F.A matrix. The information outlined from this work will allow other studies to be developed for the elaboration of mitigating measures of the agroecological transition bottlenecks. Given this, research such as these will contribute to the understanding of agroecology in the Amazon region, helping in the search for actions and public policies that represent the local reality and enhancing the bases of environmental sustainability in the region.
