The growth of AIDS cases in women consequently brought the vertical HIV epidemics that can occur before, during and after birth. Syphilis, caused by Treponema pallidum infection, can also be transmitted vertically and pregnant women infected can transmit the disease to the fetus at any stage of pregnancy. The Child Transmission (TV) HIV and syphilis are considered an important public health problem worldwide. In order to study the prevalence of HIV and syphilis in pregnant women of the Children's Hospital of Maraba, Para (HMI), coverage of HIV testing and syphilis during pregnancy and childbirth, sociodemographic data and record of care provided to pregnant women in the pre- native recorded data were collected at antenatal card and medical records of pregnant women hospitalized in the period proposed for the study through the application of a form (Protocol Monitoring Information related to HIV testing and syphilis during pregnancy and delivery of the Ministry of Health). This is a descriptive study, conducted in (HMI). The sampling was random and 480 pregnant women were selected. The prevalence rate of HIV and syphilis among pregnant women was estimated that performed the test at delivery. The coverage of laboratory tests for the diagnosis of HIV and syphilis among pregnant women was estimated that performed two tests during pregnancy and at delivery. In the data analysis test was used 2- Independence Square, considering a significance level of 5%, through the SPSS 17.0 software (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) for the formation of the database and the program Microsoft Excel version 2010 to calculate the prevalence and the formation and formalization of the tables. It was observed that 84.79% of the study population were aged 13-29 years, 44.57% had only elementary school, and 66.67% is the percentage of the age group of mothers who had positive VDRL at delivery that was between 20 and 29 years. And 50% of HIV-positive between 20 and 24 years and 50% over 34 years. There was, though 99.37% of pregnant women attended prenatal program, but 42.08% initiated prenatal care only in the second quarter; held 78.33% in the prenatal Marabá municipality of residence; The percentage of pregnant women who presented the results of the 1st HIV test completed in the antenatal card was 57.43% and 51.66% of the result of the 1st VDRL, but only 25.49% held the 2nd and between VDRL women with six or more appointments coverage was 37.62%, with respect to HIV testing 13.11% did the 2nd test and among women with six or more appointments coverage was 12.86% and only 11 , 3% were the result of two tests for HIV and 25.06% in the two VDRL card; highlight that only 23.96% of the pregnant women underwent two tests VDRL prenatal and childbirth and 10, 63% completed all steps for the diagnosis of HIV infection during the prenatal and childbirth; 66.66% of pregnant women who had positive VDRL at birth tested positive for syphilis during antenatal care; among women whose prenatal care, 0.42% knew their HIV status only in childbirth, 0.42% of the mothers were not the result of VDRL recorded in the medical record, 1.67% had no record of the outcome the test for HIV or term refusal documented in their medical records. The results presented here indicate the need for the 1st and 2nd test for HIV and syphilis during prenatal care, as well as at delivery targeting the proper management of pregnant women in prenatal care and childbirth aiming the appropriate transmission control of HIV and Syphilis
