Resumo

The pandemic remained in history, because millions of people around the world were attended by classrooms due to confinement measures to contain the influence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19. To give continuity to training, teaching and learning processes, health agencies and governments recommended the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDICs) as the main tool for the development of educational work at all levels. Taking into account the diversity of situations in which DICTs can be applied, this should be used discarding the simple consideration of the medium itself and its selection for a given context, but should be done based on the other components of the teaching and learning process. The strength of didactic media will depend on how they are used in each context and educational situation, an element that is taken into account in the research when using them for teaching Physical Education. In this way, the objective of this dissertation was to analyze the challenges and possibilities experienced by Physical Education teachers in the use of TDICs, during Remote Teaching, in the COVID-19 Pandemic. The research is characterized as an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative approach. This is research that initially looked at national educational documents in addition to specific controls for the continuing education of teachers in the pandemic, followed by a trip to the field, using as an instrument the semi-structured interview with teachers who taught the discipline of Physical Education, in Elementary School I, during the pandemic. For the analysis of qualitative data, Content Analysis was used (BARDIN, 2010). The results indicate different classifications of advantages, tolerances and difficulties among teachers. Lack of adequate equipment at home, lack of training to use TDIC, as well as the use of different platforms for on-line teaching must be among the greatest difficulties during on-line teaching. Among the advantages, the opportunity to learn how to use technological tools stands out. The data found can be useful to guide educational policies and promote the development of effective teaching and learning strategies in health crisis situations. The research problem encompasses the following question: what are the challenges and possibilities experienced by Elementary School teachers in the use of DICTs in the Physical Education discipline in the face of the reality of COVID-19?
