Resumo
Actually, technologies are increasingly present in people's daily lives. Its development and its intensity in which it has involved the most diverse social sectors, permeating practically all human activities, they have a roused curiosity in several social aspects, including in the educational context o being that the school also find sit self in the midst of this new reality. This research assumed that technology as a pedagogical didactic resource has been the target of studies involving the geography teaching, that way, several publications around the country have privileged this theme. From there, we aimed to understand how the methodologies of geography teaching are presented in higher-level research developed in recent years and how the use of new technologies have contributed as a learning tool. To this end, the state of the art of school geography was approached, highlighting the authors whose contributions were and are fundamental to establish the basis of geography teaching in Brazil; The search for the scientific production that relates the geography teaching and the use of new technologies in Brazil in the last years was accomplished, trying to understand the theoretical and methodological biases more present in this production; and teachers were interviewed seeking an understanding about the importance of using new technologies in public and private schools in Manaus. The guiding question in this last chapter was "how far have these technologies been facilitating learning in geography teaching"? We found 43 papers that fit the inclusion criteria of this research and among them, it was noted that teaching methodologies are still used to use both old and new technologies. The works are mostly of didactic experiment, followed by exploratory and analytical studies. The speech of the author soft he 43 papers analyzed, much agrees with the statements of the fifteen teachers of public and private schools in Manaus who were interviewed, help in gusto understand that the teaching of geography from the use of technologies still presents many obstacles in the practical implementation and that the greatest gulf is felt with regard to structure, equipment and resources and teacher support and training.
