Resumo
This work aims to analyze the productive chain of the biodiversity of the Amazon
biocosmetics from the case study of three bioindustries located in the state of
Amazonas, Amazongreen, the Pharmakos of Amazon and Gotas of Amazon.
Permeates by a problem that is sought to answer in terms of historical-geographical
(regarding space and time) the commercial importance of the forest is the same
inputs from the collection of "inner drugs" in the state of Amazonas; how to develop
the productive chain of each bioindustries, and finally if the point of view that
promotes biotechnology in the Amazon, the bioindustries analyzed can join the
network of actors that is articulated to the promotion of science, technology and
innovation in the area the biocosmetics. To address this issue was used as a short
time frame for resumption of the seventeenth century colonial history with the cycle
backwoods drugs until nineteenth century when there is a strong discourse of the
forest as a resource to bioindustrialization. The spatial area is the city of Manaus, it is
home to the analyzed bioindustries and as analytical approach it was listed two oil
products Amazon: andiroba [Carapa guianensis] and copaiba [Copaifera langsdorfii],
and focused on a theoretical basis geographical category of analysis, the territory. In
this context, the objective of the research was to analyze the biocosmetics sector in
Amazonas through the case study companies Amazongreen, Pharmakos of Amazon
and Gotas of Amazon, and the specific objectives were to analyze through relation
space / time, in economy of the Amazon, the importance of the extraction from the
collect of backwoods in Amazonas, describe the productive chain of andiroba and
copaiba biodiversity to meet the demands of bioindustry three case study; and
analyze the network of actors that consolidate biotechnology in the state of
Amazonas to give input to biocosmetics industries in Manaus. It has been that the
commercial importance of inputs in the Amazon forest still exists, but rather is now
enriched by scientific and technological contributions of biotechnology. The
productive chain of biodiversity should not exist without consideration of the
communities living in the territories of extraction of oil and the biotechnology,
especially that mediated by the Amazon Biotechnology Center, does not occur as
originally planned, but it is not nonexistent, and the promoting science, technology
and innovation in the sector biocosmetics the public sphere is the driving force
through the network of actors that allows for the consolidation, financing and
participation of public federal, state and local governments
