Resumo

This dissertation will present elements that make us understand the context in one of the first formations to the Yanomami teachers from Rio Marauiá, Santa Isabel do Rio Negro - Amazonas, was developed. For that, the research was unfolded through documents analysis of the non-governmental organization Association Service and Cooperation with the Yanomami People - SECOYA, institution that promotes the Indigenous Magisterium studied here. The technique used was the documentary analysis and bibliographic studies about the Yanomami people, the Indigenous School Education and the Formation of Indigenous Teachers. Its main objective was to analyze the training experiences offered by SECOYA to the Yanomami from the region mentioned above. For this, the paper will first present a review of the traditional cultural aspects of this ethnic group as well as the historical context experienced today, providing a reflection on the cultural changes that occurred in this region; then an explanation is made as to how the local Yanomami Schools were built from their first contacts with non-indigenous people, in order to present the context in which the first formative stage began, as well as the development of the entire course of Indigenous Teaching carried out by the NGO. Throughout this dissertation a dialogue is carried out between the results built by the research, what the existing bibliography affirms and what the current legislation defends, in order to provide elements that lead us to reflect on the teacher training that is being offered to Yanomami, understanding that it is connected directly with the people that one wants to form, and therefore needs to be in constant dialogue with those who are using it directly and indirectly.
