Proposta do uso de ferramentas de controle de estoque no Hospital Thomé de Medeiros Raposo na Região Metropolitana de Manaus

Abstract

This dissertation aims to propose the use of tools that contribute to the reduction and adequacy of drug supplies through the logistics process planning and supply of medicines in the storeroom of the hospital Thomé de Medeiros Raposo, a public hospital located in the metropolitan region of Manaus, in Amazonas State. In order to reach this purpose, it was necessary to accomplish a literature review aiming to identify the best practices concerning products logistical flow in formal manufacturing sector in general, including the acquisition, distribution within the organization and delivery to the customer or end user. Another goal was to verify, based on a case study of a public hospital, the logistics flow of medication, since the very supply stage to medicine administration to patients. It was also necessary to verify the cycle of rivers and its influence on the hospital attendances, and, finally, the proposal for the establishment of a basic model for material management and use o tools for inventory control based on the seasonality of the rivers, with the view to facilitate the inventory maintenance in the hospital warehouse in a balanced way. This is a qualitative approach study, using bibliographic and case study means for the composition of the argumentative text. It was concluded that the measure proposed in this research will lend a more fluid and efficient dynamic, without losing operational control, also contributing for inventories reducing in the process of medicines supply and reducing the problem of lack of medicines.
