Resumo
In this research, our investigative intention is the identification of empirical mathematical knowledge in Ticuna indigenous ceramist art, having as a foundation to ethnomatematics in the perspective of Ubiratan D’Ambrósio, as well as record the knowledge involved in making these objects that are produced in the region of the Triple Frontier between Brazil-Colombia and Peru. It also contains a state of the art related to the concepts and categories of analysis of this research. It also presents the need to work a more regionalized mathematics, based on the precepts of BNCC and LDB. From a methodological point of view the thesis is characterized as a qualitative and collaborative research with the subjects of the research: Ceramists on the Colombian side- Letícia / Colombia and the Brazilian side - Tabatinga / Brazil, as well as public institutions, students and teachers of Tabatinga. The results, in addition to the reconstruction of elements of this knowledge Ticuna, reposition the indigenous culture at the public university through the creation of a discipline named ethnomathematics. This study will serve as a basis for didactic sequences, where knowledge present an epistemology of the experienced environment, which can first present in the study of the arts, archeology, anthropology and finally, reaching the teaching of mathematics.
