Violência masculina: uma análise das produções teóricas sobre homens autores de violência doméstica contra as mulheres nos anos de 2006 a 2018

Abstract

This dissertation research is theoretical, in the State of the Art modality, which consists of the analysis of theses and dissertations about male domestic violence against women, with a view to apprehending the main approaches around the theme and the modalities of services to men who are perpetrators of violence. The searches for scientific productions that include our sample were carried out in the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, whose period outlined for this search was from 2006 to 2018, and, through the support of three defined descriptors, we reached a universe of 285 scientific productions, which, after our inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulted in a sample of 45 studies, 17 theses and 28 dissertations. Through these productions, we aim to: understand the fundamentals of male violence against women with an emphasis on patriarchal gender relations and the construction of masculinities; elucidate in theses and dissertations the main references and approaches on domestic male violence against women and its manifestations; and, to characterize the intervention services aimed at subjects who are authors of domestic violence against women available in the theses and dissertations (nature of the service; main referrals; responsible professionals; methodology adopted to carry out the intervention groups). Although the scientific productions of our sample are from different areas of knowledge and from different regions of Brazil, we noticed an absence of productions with these themes in the northern region, indicating the need for scientific discussions around the theme of male violence, masculinities and the focus for the perpetrators of violence.
