Do campo à sala de aula: temas ambientais como estratégia do ensino introdutório à Topografia

Resumo

This project was developed from the detection of the gaps found in the knowledge of the students of the 1st year of high school of the Technical course in Agriculture with regard to geometry and trigonometry applied to topographic studies, from the findings of basic difficulties of concepts and applications of angles and distances located in the vertical and / or horizontal plane. In view of these facts, the general objective of this project was to correlate the study of geometry and trigonometry applied to environmental themes in the context of Topography in the context of hydrographic microbasins in the city of São Gabriel da Cachoeira - AM. In order to fulfill the general objective, it was proposed as specific objectives; apply the principles of trigonometry to measure the slope of a point in a watershed; quantify and correlate with the legislation the presence of a Permanent Preservation Area (APP) in a point of a watershed based on geometric and trigonometric knowledge; produce pedagogical didactic material that makes it possible to understand and relate geometry and trigonometry in the classroom within the scope of hydrographic micro basins in the teaching of Topography. The methodological approach worked was action research, which consisted of conducting expository classes, workshops on building alternative materials for work in the field, visualization of images on Google Earth Pro and field trips. All the activities developed were evaluated qualitatively by means of mind maps and concept maps, and through the results obtained it is possible through these instruments to assess the significance and internalization of the shared knowledge, where with the help of these it is possible to perceive in the details the reflection of the learning acquired by the students. All these activities generated an educational product and this is a website called Environmental Mathematics, in which there is a composition of tutorials of practical activities that involve calculations contextualized in the environmental sciences.
