Proposta de índice do potencial inovador das pesquisas no Estado do Amazonas: uma aplicação em teses dos programas de Pós-graduação da Rede Bionorte e PPGBIOTEC

Abstract

This study analyzes Dissertations and Theses that addressed production chains as research objects directly or indirectly in the Postgraduate Programs in Biotechnology at Rede Bionorte and PPGBiotec/UFAM, between the years 2010 and 2020. The study is based on research in the Programs’ database using the “production chain” theme as a filter, to select proposals for identifying barriers to innovation and possible solution proposals. Methodologically, it is a qualitative and quantitative study, with a systematic review of publications selected by filters and by theme. Fourteen studies were identified, which were tabulated and qualitatively evaluated, highlighting those with some indication of technological innovation and non-technological innovation. Additionally, search terms such as technology transfer, skills developed in the chains, biofuels, fruits and public policies were included, as they are considered important for the production chains in Amazonas. In terms of Technological Innovation, seven studies were identified that met the established criteria and seven that did not present technological solutions in their results. The multi-criteria analysis method based on AHP was presented as a proposal to attribute the innovation index. This proposal demonstrated its feasibility and the possibility of implementation in other projects. Using an inductive method, the projects collected from the databases were analyzed and it was evident that there is a great potential for innovation and through the deductive method the following conclusion was reached; If the work carried out is unfolded into technological actions, the Production Chains will be likely to have results of high impact on the ecosystem in which they are inserted, as Postgraduate Programs generate a stock of studies and innovations, for this reason it is important that new research continue based on the results demonstrated by them.
