Otimização da manutenção de uma industria de higiene e cuidados pessoais focada em custo : otimização da manutenção

Abstract

This paper develops a proposal of maintenance management based on costs for implementing in small, medium and larges industries established by application of a tool named as FMECA (Failure Modes, Effectiveness and Critical Analysis). The stages of this research have been developed based on researchers’ study according to the needs observed in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. The systematic control proposed by FMECA was developed at a hygiene and personal care Company. In order to do that, it was necessary to study its productive process, the involved activities and resources, to establish the responsible and the guidelines, aiming of identifying the existent maintenance costs. From the cost management identified it was done a proposal of cost rating analysis and maintenance cost control. In order to validate this proposal, these concepts and analysis have been applied in the maintenance department of this factory. With the results obtained from this research it’s possible to conclude that maintenance management based on FMECA and consequently on maintenance cost of productive equipments exposure immediately the fragility of a maintenance system. After concluding the initial data for repairing and bringing these equipments to an ideal condition of working, is necessary to invest a substantial financial amount, which obviously will carry a maintenance cost increase in the first years of FMECA application and which is contrary to the program’s initial philosophy that is the cost reduction. But, which remarkably will bring the financial return along the time, for optimizing the usage of the equipments in a maintenance management without breakings and undesirable expenses with maintenance.
