Abstract

Objective: To develop an instrument for the nursing process aimed at postpartum women based on Taxonomy I NANDA and NIC for use by nurses. Methodology: This is a methodological study that used convergent care research to support the development of an instrument for the nursing process aimed at assisting postpartum women. The research was conducted in a small maternity hospital in the city of Manaus with the participation of ten nurses. Data collection followed three stages, namely: 1st stage Integrative literature review, in the 2nd stage: individual interviews guided by a semi-structured script with questions about nurses' knowledge about the nursing process, diagnoses and nursing interventions, in the 3rd stage it was prepared the instrument based on NANDA 2018-1021 and NIC taxonomies; and in the analysis phase, the processes of apprehension, synthesis and theorization were carried out to obtain and deepen the knowledge based on the collected information. Results: The integrative literature review made it possible to identify the most used nursing diagnoses in care practice and interventions most applied to them, which make it possible to design a care plan in a safer and more effective way, together with the knowledge of the reality experienced daily and the knowledge of nurses, it was possible to develop the technology: Nursing Process Instrument applied to postpartum women. Final Considerations: The instrument for the Nursing process in postpartum care has the potential to make the care reliable, complete and easy to use, with this it is hoped that its applicability can collaborate with the change in hospital culture, improving the quality of care. assistance and promotion of women's health.
