Arborização condominial em Manaus: um estudo sobre as percepções dos moradores

Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the perceptions of residents condominium trees produced by two condos in Manaus: Eliza Miranda Residential and Residencial Bem Viver Total Ville. The study addressed the perceptions in its complexity, analyzing both objective factors as having a subjective qualitative approach and descriptive - exploratory. For this various techniques were used, following the proposed multimethod to meet those goals. As for the design, field research was through the use of direct observations, semi-structured interviews and the use of cards with pictures of different spatial arrangements of trees and different tree species to access the perceptions of residents. The need to study this subject is due to the fact that the condominium areas have grown widely in the city , representing a form of property in locations have planned by private companies , with all the infrastructure of a " town " . The results have shown that residents recognize the benefits that trees can provide the condominium environment, but that the recovery is the best possible, the presence of an initial planning is extremely important to avoid future problems. The speeches of residents allowed to capture the way they come and relate this to their condos which can be taken into account in the implementation and maintenance of these local afforestation afforestation. It was found that residents of both condos have preferences for trees with large crowns and flowers providing the beautification of the place they live in and reject trees that do not have such characteristics. Regarding the preference arrangements of trees, residents prefer arrangements with a large number of trees on both sides of the sidewalks thus providing better environmental quality. Therefore, it is recommended that construction of condominiums in the city of Manaus note that afforestation is as important as aspects of the physical infrastructure of these places are making a better quality of life for its residents .
