TBTRATE: aplicativo móvel de auxílio ao enfermeiro no tratamento da tuberculose sensível na atenção primária à saúde no contexto amazônico

Resumo

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the most persistent infectious diseases in the world. Primary Health Care (PHC) plays a fundamental role in TB control in Brazil, acting as a gateway to the Unified Health System. The nurse is the professional par excellence who works in the PHC, both in the care and educational area, and in the management of health services, adding administrative activities to direct care practices for the user. When caring for people with active TB, nurses carry out TB prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment actions. The state of Amazonas has the highest TB incidence rate in Brazil and the disease is present in all municipalities, where ethnic diversities and geographic characteristics are different. The waterways and the large territorial dispersion are daily challenges for nurses who work in the region, where many endemic, emerging and reemerging diseases are present. The use of mobile technologies can contribute to the better performance of these professionals, where manuals or printed guides are not available. Objective: To develop a mobile application for the sensitive tuberculosis treatment protocol for nurses who work in primary health care in the Amazonian context. Method: Methodological research on the treatment of active tuberculosis in primary care and development of a mobile application. The work was carried out in two stages: a bibliographic review of the Ministry of Health protocols and application development, using the skillful development method (Scrum model), which includes structuring activities: requirements, analysis, design, evolution and delivery. Result: After the narrative review that guided the framework of the App's content and its development, the final product was the TBTRATE mobile application to assist nurses in the treatment of active TB that is sensitive to first-line drugs. Final considerations: The developed technology can contribute to greater agility and assertiveness of nursing care for people with active TB, in addition to improving the quality of care and increasing adherence to treatment. Keywords: Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Nursing Care, Primary Care Nursing, Health Technologies.
