Projeto Teatral demônios de Qorpo-santo em Manaus

Abstract

The study aims to bring to light, reception issues from the staging of the Qorpo-Santo Devils Project by the Companhia Teatral A Rã Qi Ri, based on interviews, icnographic material and periodical consultations, analyzing its openness and its ethnocenology in what the spectacular. The staging of the spectacles brought to the public knowledge a part of the work of an author not mentioned in Brazilian literary historiography: José Joaquim de Campos Leão (1829-1883), self-titled Qorpo-Santo, has a complex work that came to the knowledge of critical and pubic in 1966, one hundred years after they were written. It is in the effort to add material to the author's critical fortune that this work is developed, his work is characterized by nonsense interventions in everyday instances.
