Levantamento do potencial de eficiência energética no setor de serviços: Sistema de Abastecimento de Água na cidade de Manaus – AM

Abstract

The work was accomplished a collection of data and information about the characteristics of the potential of energy efficiency in the water supply system, operated by the private company Manaus Ambiental S.A., which holds the concession of public services, in the city of Manaus-AM. To this end, was conducted a set of measurements of the electrical performance indicators in sets of electric motors operated in five consumer units of electricity. The electrical measurements covered 24hours of activity in the operational routine of consumer units, noted the maximum operating voltage of 440 V, were not measured electrical assemblies operating at 6.6 KV. The study identified factors occurrence of substandard potency established by ANEEL's legislation, it should be noted that the three-phase active powers demonstrated occurrence of oversized electric motors. Thus, it was possible to estimate the reduction potential, between 59.72% and 7.36%, resulting in an average percentage of 25.87% reduction in power in operation of the five consumer units surveyed. Relative to the potential associated with the volumes of water produced, were estimated percentages of 76.88% losses to 73.58%, between the distribution and billing of water. Finally, at these significant losses in the operational routine of the concessionaire in 2014, there was a contrast between the average percentage of losses in the distribution of water among the five geographic regions of Brazil, with the indicators of the National Sanitation Information System-SNIS, whose average values showed regional variation between 50.8% and 33.4%, and the national average of 37.0% loss. In the context of this study, loss levels were evidenced that exceed the national average and the technical reduction potential and the potential opportunity for energy efficiency.
