As ações do CREAS junto à adolescentes em situação de violência sexual em Manaus

Abstract

Sexual violence today is a serious social problem that is affecting an increasing number of individuals, especially children and adolescents, who have been the biggest victims of this type of crime in Brazil, although there is wide legal protection for this population against any type of rights violation. In this sense, the present study analyzed the implementation of the actions of the Specialized Reference Center of Social Assistance - CREAS with adolescents in a situation of sexual violence in Manaus, which allowed us to know the view of adolescents in situations of sexual violence on the actions of the CREAS; To know the vision of families of adolescents in situations of sexual violence about the actions of Creas; and point out the limits and possibilities of CREAS in monitoring the situations of adolescent sexual violence from the perspective of the professionals who work in the units. The research locus was CREAS Cidade Nova and CREAS Leste. For the data collection, we conducted interviews with 13 subjects from November / 2018 to January / 2019, with 5 professionals from the technical team, 2 from the Social Service area, 1 from the Law and 2 from Psychology who work directly at PAEFI , 4 adolescents in situations of sexual violence followed for more than 6 months by CREAS and 4 mothers representing families. The analysis allowed us to understand: that the social work developed by CREAS is essential to confront situations of sexual violence in Manaus; however, these units experience many limitations in the execution of their actions, such as the lack of trained professionals in the reference team, lack of resources and fragility in the articulation with the protection network that directly imply the quality of the services offered, families and adolescents have their realities modified by the accompaniment that they receive, mainly, in relation to the strengthening of the family bonds of protection and care. More than that, the research made it possible to understand that breaking the phenomenon of sexual violence requires the engagement of society, the protection network, especially an articulated network and families in order to ensure full protection for adolescents to overcome rape and rebuild their stories away from violence. It was concluded with the research that CREAS as a specialized unit has fulfilled its role in coping with situations of sexual violence in Manaus by developing its actions in order to guarantee its users access to their rights, to the services of the protection network, as well as has contributed through the actions and orientations that it develops for the strengthening of the protective function of families and of family ties, enabling adolescents in situation of sexual violence and their families to have a real capacity to overcome the episode of violence that they lived and can build together a better future and away from violence.
