Resumo

This study aims to identify and interpret the use of hypertext language in printed educational materials used by Centro de Educação Tecnológica do Amazonas (CETAM) which acts as a member of e-Tec Brazil, the network of vocational distance education of the Federal Government. This is an analysis of how hypertext was used in the creation of educational content considering the quality criteria required for this type of material and the real regional situation of the state of Amazonas. Using the Bardin method, the study used three technological axes which are most representative of the real situation of the State of Amazonas: hospitality and leisure; management and business; and information and communication. According to the findings of this study, despite having quality with respect to concepts and content to be learned by students, and technical quality in terms of design and graphic design, the material can be improved in terms of its hypertextuality. Dynamism, adaptability and suitability to the needs of students would be some of the benefits viewed as a result of making such an improvement.
