Resumo
The purpose of this research was to search for improvements in the purchasing and inventory management processes of a company in the pharmaceutical sector. For this study, the tools Lean Manufacturing, Lean Office, Kaizen philosophy and Value Stream Mapping (MFV) were used as theoretical apparatus, which were relevant for the development of this dissertation. The biggest motivation was focused on observing the number of tasks carried out in the company until the product was effectively destined for the customer, these actions entailed substantial costs for the organization. In the methodological field, to carry out this research, field research was carried out using a case study with a qualitative approach, data collection through “on-site” observation, bibliographical research and the application of a questionnaire to employees. The investigation resulted in the data used for the analysis and development of the flowchart, the current and future map with the continuous improvements necessary for the company in question. The main restrictions that occur during the processes were observed and it was then necessary to infer what changes needed to be made from senior management to employees: cultural modifications, installation of a new software system, optimization and organization of entry and removal of products from stock, implementation of safety stock, use of strategies for products with low demand, use of barcodes, hiring employees, changing layout and relocating people based on the company's production processes. In this sense, initially, the objective was to reduce time, waste and costs seen in the sales yard. The results obtained during the research were based on the reduction of activities that contributed to the Total Lead Time, seen under the current MFV of 2.289,09 min to the future state of 1.877,42 min, resulting in a final time reduction of 411.67min, value and time that are aggregators of effective results for the company. In short, there is a need to resolve problems, as they are of no value to the customer, who needs to be met with their needs more quickly and effectively.
