Abstract

The research examines the politics of the creation of high school full time in state schools of the Amazon. Addresses the epistemology of the work as an educational principle, rescuing the ontology of work, training in the perspective of work and education, and the new requirements for training in the perspective of capital. It also discusses the consequences of the neoliberal state politics for the public school in the Amazon, focusing on politic formation in the centers of professional excellence, the succumbing of the teaching in public schools in Manaus and the reconfiguration of vocational training politic in public schools. The study was a qualitative analysis, with the epistemological historical and dialectical materialism, considering the school‟s role in training ontological dimension of the work, understanding how much space contradictions, maintenance or struggles against the hegemony of capital. The research highlights the sense of formation of all-day schools and the reform policies of the school established by the State, taking into account the correlation of forces between the interests of strengthening the capital expansion and working class interests.
