Abstract

This study addresses the importance that the Business Intelligence model has in decision making within organizations, especially in the public sector. BI is a model composed of a dashboard that organizes, through reports and synthetic graphs, data from the most varied systems, enabling the standardization of information and, in effect, the provision of sufficient elements for faster and safer decision making. to your users. The Electronic Information System - SEI, has brought significant advances to the processing of processes in the Federal Public Administration, which go beyond reducing the use of paper. Practicality and celerity are the most patent innovations of this platform. Despite the positivity of such innovations and, considering that the decision-making of the public manager, as a rule, has a direct impact on society, there is an urgent need for improvements that lead to the improvement of the SEI, given the rigidity, regarding the management of processes, of its current scope. In this perspective, aiming to implement mechanisms that provide the users of this platform with more complete information for decision making, it was proposed, in the course of this work, the integration of BI to SEI.
