Curumim: um sistema tutor inteligente como ferramenta para aprendizagem de trigonometria

Resumo

Nowadays, the learning of Mathematics is a fundamental part in the development of the human being and in this context lies Trigonometry. The study of trigonometry links algebraic, geometric, and graphical thinking, serving as an important precursor to a more advanced understanding of computing. Due to the current scenario where Distance Learning (DL) has become a necessity, Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) offer an alternative for individualized study, however, for the construction of knowledge, a mediation in learning is often necessary. The Theory of Mediated Learning Experiences (MLE) offers pedagogical support focused on mediating and addressing learning problems. In this context, this research was developed with the aim of supporting the development of knowledge in Trigonometry, through an ITS called Curumim, inserting the teacher as an active agent in this process. To validate the system, Case Studies were carried out with teachers and students, the first one being Usability Tests and later an intervention research with students in the laboratory. The disappointing results that the tool contributes to teaching, making evident the acceptance of students and teachers, promoting a practice that encourages students to build knowledge, thus producing a positive impact on academic results.
