Do voto em cédula ao voto eletrônico: uma análise processual

Abstract

This work makes a procedural analysis of the Brazilian electoral system, emphasizing the fragility of the manual voting system, with the use of the canvas ballot box, and the constant search for transparent elections. The computerization of elections, through the use of electronic voting machines and biometric registration, greatly contribute to the minimization of fraud. In recent times, especially, the subject has fostered heated debates and questions, by the most diverse layers of society, in the media and on social networks, about the reliability of the electronic system for collecting and counting votes. However, to date, there is no evidence of the fragility of the Brazilian electoral voting system; on the contrary, the referred system consolidates, more and more, democracy, bringing the certainty that the vote reflects the will of the citizen and the old figurations, such as “pen and ink elections”, are giving way to more reliable figurations.
