Resumo

For years the education dedicated to the riverside populations in the Middle Solimões region was decontextualized, relegating them to a situation of exclusion and distance from the possibility of collective participation in the search for increased income and thus enabling an improvement in the quality of life. The purpose of this work is to evaluate the participation in the Technological Vocational Center of the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Institute's construction of more inclusive and participatory processes in the management of community organizations and enterprises. Through a participatory methodology, with the use of interviews and participant observation, allied to tools and procedures of narrative and text analysis, it was possible to verify among the education subjects of the CVT (teachers, students, technicians, community leaders of six collective organizations in the region) how the pedagogical process of the CVT/TSVA has been facilitating the social dynamics of legitimization of students in their base organizations in order to compete for positions and functions in coordinations and directorships at levels higher than those to which they were initially elected. This legitimization is gradual and depends on numerous variables, social participation and how it is qualified at the base. It also depends on the interest of the legitimate members of the grassroots organization in leading this student in his or her return, building a solid base of mutual respect for the social strengthening of the organization. With more than half of the actors trained by the CVT/TSVA taking on coordination and management positions in the region, it can be seen that the educational process has supported the construction of an effective social capital with the possibility of spilling over through networks of relationships and ensuring socio-environmental governance in the region, giving autonomy and empowerment to the social actors of the territories participating in the regional dynamic.
