Resumo

Interculturality is defined as a proposal for democratic coexistence, aiming at integration between different cultures. Without suppressing the diversity of traditions, interculturality aims to boost creative and essential skills that can result from the relationship between different people and their respective life contexts. Based on this approach, the present study has the general objective of discussing intercultural relationships between indigenous and non-indigenous children established through games and games and how this favors Physical Education at the Municipal Center for Indigenous School Education Wakenai Anumarehit. This is a bibliographic, field and documentary study, with a qualitative design, having as dialogue participants a bilingual indigenous teacher from the Karapâna ethnic group and three indigenous teachers, one from the Baré ethnic group (pedagogue), the other from the Tariana/Tukana ethnic group (teacher of Physical Education) and the other from the Karapanã ethnic group. The data generation instruments were the field diary, direct observation, photographic records and the conversation circle. The results obtained show that intercultural relationships with students at the Municipal Center for Indigenous School Education Wakenai Anumarehit happen through play and games. Examples of this are intercultural indigenous games, which occasionally take place on the outskirts of Manaus, within a positive atmosphere of friendship and cooperation between participating children, an occasion in which important aspects of physical education are highlighted in the recreational activities carried out, such as laterality, strength, balance and motor skills. In these moments of intercultural experiences, indigenous and non-indigenous children can make discoveries that will allow them to deal with unique environments. However, although the important role of interculturality as a partner of Physical Education in the overall development of indigenous children is recognized, it is concluded that at the Municipal Center for Indigenous School Education Wakenai Anumarehit, which concentrates different ethnicities with their cultural knowledge valued with commitment and good will of indigenous teachers, interculturality happens, but not fully, as there are many setbacks, making it impossible to properly recognize each culture and the link that exists between them. There needs to be space for dialogues about diversity and other conditions so that interculturality can emerge, promoting the joining of knowledge, intertwining indigenous corporeality, Physical Education, games and games, favoring indigenous children, who have in the act of playing their full development, full of meanings.
