Sou brasileira, sou caboquinha: uma análise discursiva da identidade da mulher amazonense através da música popular

Abstract

This work aims at identifying the founding discourses related to the meaning of woman in the Amazon region. To do so, it is based upon the theoretical basis of French Discourse Analysis (DA). Some concepts of DA are used to achieve the goal: language, discourse, subject (PÊCHEUX, 1990, 1993, 2006, 2009, 2011) and founding discourse (ORLANDI, 2003). DA is a theory of interpretation that put in contact language, discourse and idology. Due to the chosen theme, we have also gone through the concepts of culture (LARAIA, 2009) and identity (HALL, 2011; BAUMAN, 2005). The corpus includes 40 songs classified under what is called Música Popular Amazonense. The analysis confirmed the initial hypothesis that both the cosmopolitan and the cabloco discourses are present when it comes to the image of woman. From these two, the latter is more often recurrent.
