Análise do posicionamento defensivo e sua influência nas transições ofensivas no futsal feminino universitário

Resumo

This study investigated how different forms of defensive positioning influence the frequency and effectiveness of offensive transitions in university women’s futsal. Six matches played between 2024 and 2025 in official university competitions from the state of Amazonas were analyzed. Through systematic video observation, the study recorded offensive transitions immediately following ball recovery, as well as the resulting shots, shots on target and goals. The results indicated that advanced defensive positioning was associated with a higher volume of offensive transitions, a greater number of shots and a higher incidence of goals compared to deeper defensive structures. These findings align with existing literature showing that recovering possession in advanced areas increases the likelihood of successful attacking actions. In the university women’s context, which is characterized by considerable variation in players’ experience and tactical stability, the results highlight the relevance of defensive dynamics as a key determinant of offensive behavior. This work contributes to expanding the body of knowledge on performance analysis in university women’s futsal, a field still underrepresented in scientific research.
