Abstract

Fishing being a common activity in the Amazon’s countryside, it is extremely important in the life of the riverside peasant. For some people, has become an important activity, for others it is a means of supporting the family because fish is the most common food on the table of the riverside fisherman. The purpose of the research is to understand the formation and organization of the territoriality of the fishing of the stretch in the rivers and lakes of mainland in the community of Rosarinho - Lago do São Lourenço / municipality of Manacapuru / AM. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the historical context of the formation of the peasantry in that municipality, as well as to understand the formation / installation of the haul and the fish marketing network in the community of Rosarinho - Manacapuru (AM). The research approach method is the dialectical history “centered on the dynamic subject-object relationship”. In the field-research carried out in the months of June and July / 2019, it was found that there are several types of stretch, which are installed in accordance with the fluctuation of the river level, they are called peak stretches. This capture technique is one of the main sources of income for riverside peasants.
