Resumo

This paper explains the potentialities of free access and culture movement in the context of the Education Graduation Program inside the Federal University of Amazonas (PPGE / UFAM). The investigation mapped the free and open access culture movement inside the institution environment and traced a historical course of it. The methodology adopted was the Deleuze-Guattarian cartography, which dialogues with Lévy's (1993) hypertext. Based on documentary research of UFAM's compliances according 1065/2017, it deals with the Information Policy for the Institutional Repository of the Federal University of Amazonas and the public agency CAPES of year 2017 Education Area Document, was analyzed to observe the evidences that align to free access movement. Through the questions proposed by Sampiere, Collado and Lucio (2013) and Bell (2008) were applied to the document, collecting information for discussion of our corpus of study. The results indicate that there are virtually latency ideas of openness and freedom of the area document, but such debates are needed in the field of education, to be used as principles and resources to democratize the production of knowledge and knowledge. The ordinance, on the other hand, operationalize the management, mission and managing committee of the UFAM repository. One point that can be observed throughout the area document is the need to establish collaborative networks, an environment open to feedback. The principles of openness are not clearly, but the wording of the document gives some institutionalist and feasibility for openness in the production of knowledge and information. Another peculiarity is the integration of the research space as the community space, in which the program must be aligned with the transformation and social contribution in the environment in which it is inserted and which is very close to the perspective of citizen science. The UFAM’s compliance reflects trends in the open access movement, such as concern with open access to information and knowledge as a resource for social transformation; the institution of the dissemination of scientific research without burden to those who access it and contributes to the transparency of public resources allocated to science in addition to making it virtually more open. In the Amazonian environment, the discussion on the subject can contribute to resize education and access to information and knowledge, reducing the distance between subjects and scientific knowledge.
