A efetivação de direitos indígenas em Manaus: condições habitacionais

Abstract

This dissertation addresses a study of indigenous rights in relation to their housing conditions in an urban environment, focusing on the city of Manaus. This theme permeates the issue of space construction, territorialization and urbanization, processes related to the presence of many indigenous ethnic groups in Manaus. It also addresses the right to adequate housing of the housing deficit in Brazil, its reasons and its consequences. Access to dignity is a right that has undergone a process of evolution at the international and national level, interconnecting with public policies that, in turn, are not fulfilled for the housing conditions in which indigenous people in Manaus find themselves. It seeks to demonstrate these housing conditions and the lack of mechanisms for the effectiveness of the right to housing. A qualitative approach is used, presenting conjectures from the hypothetical-deductive method, through bibliographic research.
