Políticas públicas de proteção do espaço urbano: o caso do Parque Municipal Nascente do Mindú em Manaus

Abstract

This research, to effect comprehensive, aims to analyze the implications of environmental policies thought to the implementation of the Parque Municipal da Nascente do Mindú (PMNM), including environmental education, and the process of organization of Areal do Mindú „s residents for the new configuration of space and use of the PMNM in District Cidade de Deus in the city of Manaus-AM. The analysis gave up from the existing deployment of the Urban Revitalization projects and creation of the Mindú‟s Ecological Corridor Urban, developed by the city of Manaus in conjunction with the Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) by the Ministry of Cities of Brazil (MC) until the first half of 2010, when a new administration started in the municipality. Methodologically this research focused on analysis of extensive priary documentation provided by Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade and the confrontation of semi-structured interviews obtained in field work and theoretical approach guiding these results that led to the indication of factors, social and political actors in the realization of environmentally sustainable actions and impact on social relations between the residents of the occupation.
