Resumo

Modern education is in an increasing process of development, research and university studies in the field of teaching and learning of Arts. As a consequence we propose this study with the purpose of demonstrating that drawing can in a very decisive way interfere in the construction of the child's knowledge and that the Art-Educator is necessary to provide such a learning through instruction. In doing so, we have based our proposal on philosophical and psychopedagogical assumptions which intensively discuss child acquisition of knowledge and its intellectual development. We have limited our study to the analysis of drawing and its strict relationship with man since the beginning of his evolution, since drawing is, no doubt, one of the basic elements for this development. This study demonstrates that the child in close contact with drawing throughout its learning-process, has facility in expresing itself in communicating and, therefore, in learning. This process is best developed with the help of an Art-educator.
