Resumo

This dissertation presents a study on the relationships of the floating residents with the Tefé-AM River and their environmental perceptions.. In this way, the study presents as a general objective the elaboration of a didactic-pedagogical material from the perceptions of the floating residents and their topophilic relationships with the river and its waters. Considering the Amazonian context, we sought to present the need for new teaching strategies that favor the apprehension of Environmental Science studies and that help in teaching practice and in the learning of students significantly. The research is characterized as a case study. A qualitative approach was used with a view to the perspective of Edgar Morin's systemic complexity. All data has be analyzed using the content analysis Bardin's method (1977). Data collection was carried out with 34 subjects residing on the floating located on the edge of the city of Tefé in the municipality of Amazonas, Brazil. The participating subjects were grouped into two (02); Group of Subjects 01 Floating residents composed of 17 adults, and Group of Subjects 02 formed by 17 children. Two elementary schools provided data on regularly enrolled students who had the floating resident profile. Among the applied data, the collection techniques are bibliographic research, documentary research, field research, observation, interviews, and questionnaires with semi-structured questions, in addition to activities such as Pedagogical Workshops that involved the participating subjects. They have an emotional relationship with the place through the experiences that the environment provided them, whether physical, emotional, or symbolic, and which contributes to perceiving the increase in negative impacts due to river pollution and climate change. With the production of a Comics (HQ), based on the results and discussion of the research, in which the narrative, characters, and scenario of the HQ. This educational product bring characteristics of the environment where the research was carried out, that is, the environment of the residents of the floats and the river. It is expected that the product will contribute to the teaching and learning of environmental sciences and that it will produce subjects with a conception that reality is complex, everything is a relationship of interdependence, that the art of living well with oneself, with others, must be developed. In addition, with the environment; and that promotes schools with teaching based on Meaningful Learning, in which the Amazonian environmental context is considered.
