Das intervenções urbanas aos espaços de consumo em Manacapuru

Abstract

The following study examined the influence of spatial interventions in the urban life of Manacapuru mediated by trade and services sector of Manacapuru, specifically the hotel establishments and gas stations. The research started from the hypothesis that the Rio Negro bridge consists of the geographic object that induces intensely urban lifestyles in these consumption spaces through the easy traffic motor vehicle from Manaus to Manacapuru. This event influenced the spaces of consumption to become places where social relationships increasingly mediated by the influence the way of capitalist production. Therefore, this work shows that trade and services have gained new values according to the economic and spatial transformations
