Resumo
The research in question sought to understand the dynamics of physiographic aspects in relation to meteorological elements that affect the city of Manaus. For such a problem raised, it consisted in understanding whether the physiography of the city's surroundings (the metropolitan region) could interfere or not with the entry of weather systems. Thus, the objective of this research was to map the trajectory of the storms that enter the capital, in order to identify the role of the surrounding physiography in the dynamics of these systems. The methodological procedures applied were a bibliographic survey that covered the atmospheric systems acting in the region, with emphasis on the dynamics of meteorological radar, and the inclusion of data from the surface station (INMET) and the meteorological radar (obtained by SIPAM). About the INMET data, they contemplated the meteorological variables on surface in the period from 2015 to 2019. Already through the meteorological radar it was possible to obtain the variable of reflectivity frequency for the years 2018 to 2019. And using a range of 240km of this instrument, the characterization of the physiography of the surroundings of the capital was performed. The results achieved showed significant patterns in climate dynamics, in which it was possible to note that storms tend to be more frequent in the morning and afternoon periods. Once examining this time interval, it was observed that temperatures are higher, and this can corroborate the formation of storms by local convection. Moreover, the physiography in the surroundings presented evidence that can cooperate with the formation of precipitating systems, especially the river near the city. Therefore, when relating this physiography with the radar reflectivity data, a predominance of southeasterly precipitating systems was noticed. This indicates that part of the systems that enter the city have the possibility of coming from this variable, due to its width, since it is associated with the process of moisture convergence linked to the local circulation.
