A dinâmica figuracional na negociação do pescado da feira da Panair na cidade de Manaus-AM

Abstract

The work presented here seeks to analyze the figuration in the negotiation of fish at the Feira da Panair in the city of Manaus, based on the reflection of the environments in which social agents sell fish in order to understand how the functioning and commercialization of fish occurs in the locus of research, learn about boarding and disembarking at the General Cargo and Fishing Terminal in the city of ManausTCGPM, also understand how the Panair Marketers' Association-AFP organizes itself in relation to the logistics of boarding and unloading fish. After going to the field, direct observation, and collection of facts (ethnographic methodology), with a qualitative approach, recorded by the implicit and explicit manifestations of reality from 17 participants, as well as market traders, dispatchers, fishermen, boat owners, it allowed sampling and interactions with the researcher between January 5th and 7th to February 14th, 2023, with those observed. This interaction allowed us to understand the history of individuals, their practices, their habits, their functions, allowing us to know that the fair is not largely responsible for the commercialization of fish, but rather the Fisheries Terminal/Balsa de Ferro, and that the Association of stallholders/Floating Wood, does not sell on a large scale, because its functionality is aimed at the disembarkation and embarkation of people and fruit and vegetables. Ultimately, these results confirmed the public authorities' disregard for the fishing sector, since the TCGPM, the largest in the Solimões/Balsa de Ferro channel, was privatized in 2022, and was not communicated to the main parties involved, that is, whoever survives on income from fishing. The figurational dynamics in the negotiation of the most consumed food in the city of Manaus, aims to be studied on site, but which also considered the port links close to it. These are the places that receive fishing and recreational boats, refrigerated ferries, through which products are loaded and unloaded. Dispatchers and boat owners negotiate the product wholesale at auction stands (Fishing Terminal) and at retail (Panair and Association). Both are starting points for commerce, distribution, loading until reaching consumers and small restaurants, close to the site, meatpacking plants in Manaus and municipalities in the State and states such as Porto Velho.
