Resumo
This text comprises a literary review on the teaching of Literature based on Literary Literacy, by Rildo Cosson (2009), and studies from it, whose recommendations were followed while organizing a proposal for an Expanded Sequence. Studies on the importance of reading, teaching literature, literary reading, and literary literacy are added here to the urgency of reviewing teaching-learning practices, which we do with the application of the research project Dissertations and Theses become Literary Literacy, seeking to bring the university closer to the school through the elaboration and availability of proposals for basic sequences and expanded sequences, produced from dissertations and theses, from Graduate Programs, for teachers who work with basic education. Our proposed expanded sequence on the female representation of Jane Eyre, by Charlotte Brontë, was built from a master's thesis.
