Resumo
Chemistry has been going through several challenges related to its teaching-learning
process, among the obstacles, we highlight the lack of association of scientific concepts with
everyday themes and strategies aimed at memorization, which do not faciltate the assimilation of chemical contents. Thus, the purpose of this research was as of on a Potentially Significant Teaching Unit (PSTU) aided by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), a teaching sequence that allows the use of several strategies, verify which concepts of oxirreduction have the significant learning facilitated. The research was based on the qualitative approach, guided by the participant research. The data were collected through questionnaires, narratives, activities pages and conversation circles at a Regular Public High School located in the city of Manaus, with the participation of 17 volunteers from the 2nd year and the results evaluated by content analysis. In the results, it was possible to identify evidence of significant learning, for the concepts of oxidation and reduction, oxidation reactions and reactivities with metals, and even that the use of ICTs, mainly the simulator, stimulated participation and collaborative activities.
