Trabalhadores da Tecejuta: experiência operária e construção da memória numa fábrica têxtil do Oeste do Pará (Santarém, 1951-1990)

Abstract

The dissertation discusses experiences of laborers at Tecejuta (Spinning and Jute Weaving Factory) in Santarém since the emergence of their facilities in town, seeking out to comprehend the different relationships that were constituted among them, the norms that regulated gender relationships within the class of laborers and intersection of such scope and other groupings of Santarém’s illustrated class, as well as tactics used in their relationship with management politics, been here, these elements considered inseparable in the dimension of dayby- day of labor. Discusses also, the process of forming the memory, related to installation of factory in the ambit of laborers as well as in ground of literate elite, seeking out the interface between the speeches produced in both sides. The search brings elements that allow us to confirm that experiences at factory-ground level, had derived in other ways of moral as shared by society at such moment constituting gender relations differentiated that would furnish a way of support to confront preconception she would have to face.
