Uma interpretação sociológica da música manauense

Abstract

The Music has always followed the development of humanity since time immemorial, and its meaning has been changing over time. However, it was used with a strictly religious sense, as it passed from the centuries to the sense of entertainment of the elites, being professionalized and receiving valuations of the cultures to which it was inserted. As far as the Amazonian context is concerned, music accompanies all the cultural and social transformations of the societies that make up the territory known as the Amazon, carrying all its peculiarities. The present work seeks to understand the meanings and meanings of the music produced in the city of Manaus, in the perspective of the construction of knowledge around the local social phenomena expressed through music as the caboclo way of life, the relation with nature and its peculiarities, considering cultural production in front of the market. For this we will use a theoretical approach to understand music as a social phenomenon and as an expression of these phenomena, interviews with musicians producing music in the city of Manaus, and how this music can be used intellectually to build a social thought in relation to the Amazon , characterizing an exploratory qualitative research. The results obtained lead us to realize that Manauan music has multiple meanings and meanings, among which we highlight the local cultural expression, the relation of identity with the elements of the way of life evidenced in the songs and the market relations, however, the music produced in the the city of Manaus, being expressions of specific social phenomena, can be considered intellectual creations that corroborate with understanding of social thought in the Amazon.
