Resumo
Water is one of the most common substances found in nature, covering about 70% of the planet's surface. Water is probably the only natural resource that has involvement with all human aspects. The objective of this study was to evaluate the physical and microbiological quality of the water consumed in three kindergartens in the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM, as children constitute a risk group for diseases transmitted by contaminated water. The methodology consisted in evaluating the conditions of compliance with accepted legal standards for potable water for human consumption, based on Ordinance No. 2914/2011 of the Ministry of Health, which establishes potability for public supply. In which three samples of the water box were collected, three samples from the drinking fountain and three samples from the sink tap. The results obtained revealed the mean of the three day care centers at the drinking fountain: pH 5.07, conductivity 121.7mg / L, ammonia 0.0mgNH3/L, Color 7,7uH, Chloride, 3.62mg / L and Turbidity 0.0NTU, the mean of the three nurseries on the tap were: pH 5.07, conductivity 121.7mg / L, ammonia 0.0mgNH3/L, Color 7,7uH, Chloride, 3.87mg / L and Turbidity 0.7NTU, were: pH 5.1, conductivity 107.22 mg / L, ammonia 0.0mgNH3/L, Color 7.3 uM, Chloride 3.79 mg / L and Turbidity 0.0NTU. The presence of total coliforms and E.coli were detected in the three collection points of the three daycare centers. It is concluded that day-care water does not meet the drinking water requirements recommended by the Ministry of Health through Ordinance No. 2,914 / 11 and, therefore, require urgent actions to adequately supply the water, in order to avoid damages to the health of its users.
